Charley Molnar and his staff have received their first 2013 commitment.
Todd Stafford, a powerful 6’5, 240-pound quarterback from the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Conn., has decided to come to the University of Massachusetts, according to Jarrett Shine, his high school coach.
Stafford called his coach today “to say that he has committed,” Shine said, via e-mail.
According to Rivals, Stafford has been receiving interest from Boston College, UConn, Duke, Miami (Fla.) and Penn State. UMass is the only school to offer at this point.
Watch his highlights: This kid looks extremely comfortable in the pocket for a guy his size, and you have to like his seemingly effortless release.
Then there’s the stuff you can’t teach – like being the size of a Division I defensive end.
