A couple of Tampa-area recruits with UMass offers have piqued the interest of BCS schools.
Joey Ivie, a recruit we have mentioned a number of times before, has picked up an offer from South Florida according to Big County Preps. The Tampa-based football recruiting source also has Ivie ranked as its No. 1 defensive lineman.
Big County Preps also mentioned that Mike Love, a defensive tackle with UMass interest, has picked up an offer from West Virginia.

Chris Nee tweeted that Lemond Johnson visited Florida International and had a good time. Johnson is a three start athlete with a UMass offer.

Out in Indiana, DeVonte Hughes, the sack leader in the state who has been getting UMass interest, has been contacted by Purdue, according to Hughes.
