Jake Kennedy, a huge offensive lineman from the Granite State, has been nominated to play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl, according to the New Hampshire Football Report.
UMass extended an offer to Kennedy last month.
Kennedy is 6-foot-4 and 280-pounds. UMass made the offer during Junior Day at Gillette.
Here is his list of awards:
- 2011 Div III All-State
- 2011 Nashua Telegraph All-Area First Team
- 2011 Finalist Nashua Telegraph All-Area Player of the Year
- 2011 Outstanding Junior Team Award
- 2011 Sportsmanship Award
- 2010 Div III All-State
- 2010 Oustanding Sophomore Varsity Football
Here is his highlight video. I know he plays against lesser competition, but I still love the way he just nonchalantly tosses defensive linemen to the turf.
Here is his tweet:
Ryan Conte, a lineman from Somerville High School, tweeted that he was contacted by Brown University and may pay the school a visit soon.
Here is his tweet.
Conte has shown a great deal of interest in UMass during the recruiting process and came to Gillette for Junior Day.
Maurice Hurst Jr., a monster recruit from Xaverian that we have mentioned time and time again, is going on a ridiculous recruiting trip where he will visit: Penn State, Virginia, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Michigan and Michigan State.
Honestly, I know UMass isn’t really in the running for this kid anymore, but now I’m just interested in where he ends up.
