(Marcel Shipp will play for the Alumni Team this Satruday at McGuirk/MassLive)
UMass sent out a press release regarding the Spring Game today and confirmed that a number of alumni will take part in the scrimmage.
The alumni team, which will include all-time great Marcel Shipp, will play the first half, and the second half will be intra-squad.
We also know that former UMass kicker, Matt Goldstein, will be out there. He has been tweeting about the game for a few weeks.

(UPDATE: Matt Vautour has an updated list of alumni.)
Speaking of all-time great alumni, the Maroon Musket will be at the game as well. I will be roaming around before the game, so if you want to talk about anything from Tampa recruiting to old Southwest war stories, come say hi.

Speaking of Tampa-area recruiting, Darren Hambrick, a linebacker holding a UMass offer, has just picked up another from Missouri, according to Chris Nee. Hambrick now has offers from UMass, Western Kentucky, Kent State and Missouri.
–
Matt Breida, a running back from Nature Coast High School with a UMass offer, picked up an offer from Georgia Southern, according to the Tampa Bay Times. The Times also indicated that Harvard and Michigan are showing interest.
–
DeVonte Hughes, an Indiana linebacker we have mentioned before, tweeted that Ball State is showing interest.
