Luke Helms, an inside linebacker/fullback from the Tallahassee area, received an offer from UMass today.
The news comes via Helms’ own NUCFootball.com profile:
“UMASS called today and offered me to play for the Minutemen! Enjoyed meeting them earlier this week.”
Helms also indicated that UAB and Samford made offers in late April. Acording to Rivals, Helms also has offers from: South Alabama, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Memphis and Western Michigan.
According to his high school football team’s Twitter page, he attended Vanderbilt’s Spring Game.
The 6’2, 228-pound, two-way athlete looks like he has solid pursuit and can lay down a block if need be. Check out his highlights here. Helms also comes from a football family. His brother, Mack, plays for East Carolina, and his other brother, Caleb, signed with Florida A&M.
