(2013 Recruit A.J. Coney/FBGMCoaches)
A.J. Coney, a cornerback from Oveido, Fl., has picked up a UMass offer.
The news comes from, you guessed it, Rivals’ Chris Nee on Twitter:
Oviedo (Fla.) CB A.J. Coney reports an offer from #UMass rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/…

Coney’s Rivals profile indicates that UMass is the first team to offer.
It sounds like Coney is an all-around good kid. According to his NCSA profile, Coney is an honors student who was team captain as a junior. His beRecruited profile indicates that he can play a variety of positions.

Scout’s Brian Dohn tweeted that UMass extended an offer to Eric Wiafe, a defensive end from Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
According to his Scout page, Wiafe is a three-star recruit, and UMass is the first school to offer. 247 Sports rates Wiafe as a two-star recruit. Rivals has Wiafe at 6’5 and 258 pounds.

NOTE: UMass also reportedly offered to Shelvick Henry, a defensive back from Sebastian River High School in Florida. I can’t find too much on him, but Next Level Recruiting, a website that covers recruiting in Henry’s area, broke the news on Twitter.
