Enock Asante, a guard and defensive tackle from Steinert High School in Hamilton, N.J., has verbally committed to UMass.
The news comes via Matt Alkire, from XOFan.
There isn’t a lot out there about Asante right now, but we do know that the 6’2, 260-pound recruit was being pursued by Old Dominion. He was on ODU’s campus for their Spring Game and met with head coach Bobby Wilder.
He was an All-Division player last season as an offensive lineman and spent time as a kicker as well. He made the New York City SPARQ All-Combine team.
Check out his highlights here.
