A Pennsylvania fullback may be close to committing to UMass.
According to Rick O’Brien, a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daquan Mack ”is leaning toward Division I-A Massachusetts.” He reported the same on Twitter. Mack, who is 6’1 and 255 pounds, has also piqued the interest of UConn, Temple and Villanova, according to Rivals.
Last year Mack had more than 1,000 yards rushing, 15 touchdowns and had more than 5 yards per rush. He had the pleasure of running behind J.J. Denman, an all-everything lineman who had scholarship offers from all over before ultimately committing to Rutgers.
O’Brien indicated that Mack will also play linebacker part time for Pennsbury High School.
