While the UMass roster has not been updated, it is clear that the Freshmen have already been given their jersey numbers.
Stacey Bedell, a highly touted running back from Long Island, will wear No. 23. Graduating Senior Shane Viveiros wore that number last year.

Trey Dudley-Giles, an all-purpose athlete from the Tampa area, will wear No. 20. That must mean Alan Williams changed his number.

Bernard Davis, a wide receiver from Lake Worth, will wear No. 88, according to the Palm Beach Post’s Matt Porter. Last year Redshirt Junior James Lizotte wore that number, he is not listed on the Spring Roster.
I haven’t seen any other jersey numbers yet, but I’m sure UMass will release the updated roster soon.
I hope it’s in the budget to change those stickers to have the black helmets on them.
