Tyler Tettleton, the Ohio Bobcats’ highly touted starting quarterback, said he will play against UMass this weekend.
The news comes from Jason Arkley, a sportswriter for the Athens Messenger. He broke the news on Twitter:
On to serious matters: Solich said he’s questionable but QB Tyler Tettleton said he’ll play at UMass. He’s “100 percent” sure of it in fact

There was some question as to Tettleton’s status entering this weekend. He suffered an undisclosed injury and missed the Bobcats’ last game against Norfolk State. In fact, even during this week’s MAC conference call, head coach Frank Solich was unsure whether his best offensive weapon would see the field.
Tettleton is a big-time playmaker and will surely test UMass’ secondary. However, Derrius Vick, a redshirt freshman, has been a quality backup.

Yikes . . . After reading the MAC notes I didn’t realize were riding a 7 game losing
streak!
Another Victor Cruz from NJ awaiting a team to offer him and we should be the team to try and get him onto our team.
Remember this name – Damien Corredor from Union City NJ.
He goes to Weehawken HS. Their field sits on top of the Lincoln Tunnel (you read that correctly.
He is 5’9 – 5’10 and about 190. Great moves and has that extra gear.
Led the state of NJ in rushing as a junior. This is rare in NJ for a Jr to do.
He has the kind of running abilities that are very similar to Victor’s.
You know what’s funny Larry – someone was just telling me about this kid the other night. Sounds like he’s similar to Arkeel Newsome, that Connecticut kid UMass and UConn are recruiting.
Thanks Bob
Always keeping in touch w/ some of the greater NYC/NJ UMass fans. I agree about him sounding similiar to Newsome but from what I have heard Newsome will be at UConn.
Just remember you heard the Victor comparision here first. He would be a good fit for us as a slotback/ running back.
