After watching the presser you finally can see the the Coach being less upbeat
and a little more despondent. after 3 games like that it’s understandable. I think
that Milhilm’s back to back “chop block” calls will be a record for some time.
Hope for improvement next week.
Tom- Interesting observation, and one that was shared by the UMass radio broadcasters who felt that in a game where there was actually a glimmer of progress in some areas, coach seemed most upset. I’m thinking to call him “upbeat” the last two weeks might be a bit of a stretch. I think the reality of the situation has finally registered with him and I sometimes wonder if he knew how difficult this was going to be when he was first hired. A lot of fire and brimstone speeches back then, but much more tempered now. I really hope the players can be mentally tough enough to deal with their overmanned situation week in and week out.
