The tailgating atmosphere outside the stadium was fantastic. Inside the stadium was electrifying for UMASS first D-1 game. UMASS ran a hurry-up offense that did not hurry (play clock ran down once) and never used any of their time outs. The team physically was worn down by excessive hitting in camp, the days leading up to the game including pre-game warm-ups on game day. An 0-12 record is a better prospect given that UMASS team practice in pads the day after the game. No major college, jumior college, or high school program treats their players or coaching staff in this manner. Who is overseeing this program. NCAA allows so many practices and for a set amount of time and I suspect that UMASS football program is in violation of this rule inorder to speed up its transition to D-1 football. The next best thing to being at the UCONN game was the UMass Vs UConn Photo Gallery by Andy of Heller Photography. The photos captured the moments of the game on the field and in the stands.
