(Bowling Green running back Anthon Samuel has more than 600 yards rushing for the Falcons/Toledo Blade)
After suffering a crushing 52-14 loss to Western Michigan, the Minutemen looked ready for a Bye week.
Despite having an extra week to prepare for Bowling Green, several sites have UMass as 16- to 17.5-point dogs this weekend. While UMass looks to be trending downward after its setback in Kalamazoo, the Falcons are riding high. Last weekend, Bowling Green crushed Miami (OH) 37-12.
The Falcons (4-3) are looking at the possibility of being bowl eligible after the next two weeks, so it seems unlikely that they would look past the Minutemen. After UMass, they return home to play an 0-6 Eastern Michigan squad.

Could’ve been a little more than 16-17.5 I’m hoping the bye week really gave them a chance to heal and regroup after the W. Mich. game. I felt a little more deflated after that loss than the other ones due to the expectations that were raised in the close loss vs Ohio U. at Gillette.
