Molnar Speaks at Weekly MAC Teleconference

(UMass coach Charley Molnar talked about the Bye week and Bowling Green at this week’s MAC Teleconference/Andy Heller for the Maroon Musket)

Coach Charley Molnar spoke during the weekly MAC Head Football Coaches Teleconference and discussed the Bye week and this weekend’s game against Bowling Green.

He mentioned that practice was a little lighter and the coaches eased up on hitting and running. It sounds like the team basically got back down to fundamentals, and a lot of the younger guys got a chance to step in and get some work. He added that the coaches were out recruiting – evidenced by some of the tweets going around about UMass coaches visiting schools.

Regarding the Bowling Green game, you can tell Molnar is worried about the Falcons’ defensive line. This weekend may remind a few UMass fans of Kalamazoo – Bowling Green has a lot of size and experience, which can cause problems for UMass.
