(UMass recruit Anthony Warrum/Eagle Sports Updates)
It sounds like UMass is attempting to make some recruiting inroads in the Rust Belt.
A coach from the “UMass staff” will be in Indianapolis tomorrow to check out Anthony Warrum, a wide receiver out of Heritage Christian High School. The information comes from Greg Brookey, a coach and “recruiting specialist” from the Indianapolis area.

Warrum is a two-star recruit and currently holds offers from Eastern Illinois, Indiana State and Western Illinois, according to Rivals. According to his NCSA page, Warrum has been an All-State selection three times.
Check out his highlight reel. He doesn’t have a lot of speed, but the kid definitely plays with a lot of confidence and has a certain edge about him.
NOTE: I’m seeing some stuff out there about Kevin Weller, a quarterback from Pennsylvania. It sounds like he visited UMass last weekend with teammate Yensi Uribe-Martinez for the Ohio game. Both athletes tweeted about the visit, but I haven’t heard or seen much more about it.

I didn’t see the coach, or if he stuck around in the pouring rain. But Warrum did have 6 rec. 226 yds and 3 touchdowns, and a 65 yrd INT for touchdown.
kid looks like he can go up and get it, but the route running looks like it needs some work.
Going out on the plank this week

We run the ball well – we win it is that simple.
The best defense is our team having the ball.
This is a beatable team.
