(UMass Commit Shaquille Harris/PolkPreps.com)
Shaquille Harris, a 2013 wide receiver out of Palmetto High School in Florida, has committed to UMass.
The news comes from our old friend Chris Nee, who continues to crush recruiting in the Sunshine State:
Matt Alkire, who has been on top of UMass recruiting all season, confirmed the news.
Harris is a two-star recruit and held scholarship offers from Temple, Toledo, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan, according to Rivals. Marshall also extended an offer, according to Scout. 247 Sports has more of the same, but hasn’t given him a ranking yet.
The 6’2, 185-pound receiver was named Honorable Mention All-State in Florida. He is the second Florida receiver to verbally commit to the Minutemen, joining D.J. Woods, who committed back in July.
Here are his hudl highlights. Check out his junior highlights here.

It sounds as if the Big East is gonna come calling, is this a good move?
Does anyone here know how the projected class rates relative to other MAC schools as-of now?
