Mario Lambert, a 2013 wide receiver from Vero Beach, Fla., is expected to visit UMass in the coming weeks.
The news comes from Laura Pfahler, a sportswriter for the Press Journal, Vero Beach’s daily paper.
He will either visit on Jan. 25 or Feb. 1.
There isn’t much out there about this kid right now, and his recruitment hasn’t been covered extensively. I will keep an eye out for more as we get closer to signing day.
As an aside: Vero Beach is my hometown, so of course I’m sneaky rooting for him to sign with UMass.

Pfahler also reported that Justin Williams, a safety from Treasure Coast High School that was high on UMass’ list, has committed to Michigan State. UMass got in early on this kid, but when the bigger schools starting poking around, we knew it was going to be a reach. I will be interested to see if he still visits the school on Jan 25.
