Charley Molnar and staff have made it clear that they are going to compete with the big boys for Pennsylvania recruits.
A day after offering Scranton Prep‘s Noah Beh, the Minutemen have extended an offer to Thadd Smith, a 2014 wide receiver/athlete from Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield, Pa. The news comes from Smith, who mentioned the offer on Twitter:
Smith already has offers from Boston College, Rutgers and Temple, according to Scout. ESPN has a similar list with a number of bigger programs showing interest.
It looks like this kid could be a solid slot receiver. Check out his highlights here.

UMass has also extended an offer to Caleb Samuel, a big-time offensive and defensive lineman from Georgia. Matt Alkire broke the news on Twitter.
Samuel is a four-star recruit and currently holds an offer form Rutgers, according to 247 Sports. The 6’6, 260-pound athlete has also taken unofficial visits to UNC and LSU.
