The University of Massachusetts continues to be a pipeline for the New York Giants.
Darren Thellen, a former safety for the UMass football team, has been invited to Giants minicamp, according to multiple sources. The invitation comes on the heels of New York drafting Mike Cox in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
If both athletes make the team, they will play alongside UMass’ alumnus Victor Cruz, if he signs with the Giants.
Four UMass players have either signed with or been approached by NFL teams so far, including Thellen, Cox, Nick Speller (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Stephane Milhim (Jacksonville Jaguars).
