Molnar handles himself with aplomb and represents the interests of the University like a skilled politician. He represents well.
From the Fox 25 web site:
Brendan Fitzgerald (call him Fitzy) joined FOX25 News in August 2012 as sports anchor and reporter. He comes back home to Boston after spending the last two years at KGBT in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. While there, he covered a lot of high school football, and yes, they do take it as seriously as it’s portrayed on television.
Before that, he served as Sports Director at KCWY in Casper, Wyoming, covering everything from the University of Wyoming Cowboys to real cowboys at the state’s many rodeos. While in Wyoming, Brendan was honored as Best Sports Anchor by the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters for each of the two years he was there.
Brendan started his television career off the air at KTVK in Phoenix, covering Arizona’s pro teams and special events like the PGA Golf Tour and Super Bowl XLII media day with the Patriots.
He is a graduate of Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications where he majored in journalism. A native of Sandwich, he is thrilled to come back home with the chance to cover his favorite teams. He loves playing hockey and golf, and hitting the beach or slopes when he can. He lives on the South Shore with his wife Amy.
Not a bad interview. Usually the Boston media treats our coaches like shit and tries to humiliate the school. Charley did well and is a good ambassador for the program.
Wait till we start winning. The Globe shitheads will be out in force looking to be negative (see 1990′s hoops). Let the Globe and Herald lick BC’s balls while they get their ass kicked. We don’t need Boston coverage.
Looking forward to beating BC and UConn-vict in the near future.
I totally agree with your comments re the Globe but I think the Herald has been much better. Doesn’t hurt we have some nice Alum in sports department over there.
It would be nice if some local radio shows got him on the air.
Solid interview either way, it seemed like the guy was generally interested in UMass football and had a lot of prior knowledge of the program (unis, location, history, hatred for BC)
I agree, need to look into Mr. Fitzgerald’s background, did a very good job here.
