Dimitri Angelas, a 2014 offensive lineman who we’ve talked about before, has picked up an offer from UMass. Angelas, who also holds an offer from Old Dominion, mentioned the UMass offer on Twitter. It sounds like he’s talking to several Ivy League schools as well. The 6’5, 308-pound prospect hails from Northville High School in Michigan. Northville is where Mike Wegzyn, UMass’ starting quarterback, started his high school career before heading south to Knoxville Catholic High School in Tennessee. Check out his hudl highlights here.
UMass football held a one-day camp at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, and here are a few of the guys who were in attendance. (NOTE: There was also a second camp, but we haven’t heard about that list of recruits): Justin Gille, a 2014 weakside defensive end fron New Jersey, tweeted that he was up in Foxborough. UMass will be getting visits from a couple of recruits during the coming weeks. Dimitri Angelas, a 2014 offensive lineman from Northville, Mich., will be heading to Amherst, according to a source.
