UMass Commits: Abrokwah, Rapoza

The UMass football team has added to its growing list of Bay State walk-ons. ESPNBoston’s Brendan Hall reported that running back Shadrach Abrokwah of St. John’s of Shrewsbury, and athlete Mike Rapoza of New Bedford High School have committed to UMass as walk-ons for the 2013 season. Abrokwah had 1,540 yards and 22 touchdowns last year. The 5’8, 200-pound athlete also played middle linebacker for the Pioneers. Check out his hudl highlights here. UMass Recruit: Connor Buck

UMass has extended an offer to Connor Buck, a defensive lineman from New Canaan High School in Connecticut. The news comes from the New Canaan football team’s Twitter page, as well as NCAdviser.com. Buck, who stands at 6’3 and 240 pounds, played both defensive tackle and running back as a junior. According to hudl, Buck runs a 4.6 40-yard dash. UMass Recruits: Harrell, Harrison

After spending the past few weeks focusing on spring practice and preparations for the Spring Game, it appears the UMass coaching staff is back out on the recruiting trail. The Minutemen paid a visit to Andrew Harrell, a 6’5, 300-pound offensive lineman from Tallahassee. UMass Recruit: Ray Ray McCloud III

UMass has extended an offer to Ray Ray McCloud III, a 2015 running back from Sickles High School in the Tampa Bay area. McCloud mentioned the offer on Twitter: McCloud is already drawing interested from nearly every major program in the country, including Alabama, Florida State and USC, to name a few.
