UMass Recruiting: Gillette Camp

UMass football held a one-day camp at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, and here are a few of the guys who were in attendance. (NOTE: There was also a second camp, but we haven’t heard about that list of recruits): Justin Gille, a 2014 weakside defensive end fron New Jersey, tweeted that he was up in Foxborough. Gille currently holds offers from Old Dominion and Buffalo, according to 247 Sports. Gille is a 6’5, 245-pond recruit. Check out his highlights here. UMass Recruiting: Weekend Recap

The UMass football program is trying to widen its recruiting pipeline down at Montclair High School in New Jersey. The Minutemen offered three different Mounties during its second Junior Day, including Darius Slade (ATH), Elijah Robinson (ATH) and Austin Stevens (DE). The news comes from a variety of Twitter sources, including Todderick Hunt, Shawn Brown and former Mounty and current Minuteman Nate Crutchfield. UMass Recruiting: Junior Day, Notes

UMass will hold its first Junior Day of the 2013/14 recruiting cycle this weekend. Per a source with knowledge of how Junior Days work, here is a brief synopsis:  UMass recruits all year, and during that process invites athletes to come to Junior Day. However, Junior Day is an open event so any high school prospect can attend. Attending Junior Day is not considered an official visit because the school pays no expenses.
