UMass Recruit: Jonathan Thomas

UMass is doing its best to open a pipeline down at Nature Coast Technical High School. The Minutemen have offered Jonathan Thomas, a 2015 wide receiver from the Brooksville, Fla. high school. It’s Thomas’ first scholarship offer. The news comes from Rob Kazmier, a Nature Coast coach that we’ve spoken to in the past. Nature Coast is the same school that produced current UMass hoopster Tyler Bergantino. UMass is also pursuing Matt Breida, a 2013 running back who was a focal point of the Sharks’ offense. It looks like a few schools are trying to clog UMass’ recruiting pipeline at Nature Coast Technical High School. The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that Ball State has extended an offer to Matt Breida, a running back with a UMass offer. Breida now has offers from: Akron, Toledo, UMass, Georgia Southern and Ball State. Check out his highlights. The UMass/Nature Coast High School relationship just got a little tighter. The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that UMass made a verbal offer to 2014 recruit Rohan Blackwood, a football athlete who is also a highly touted basketball player. The Times got the news from Rob Kazmier, an assistant football coach for Nature Coast. Some Maroon Musket readers may remember Kazmier from the recruiting update on Matt Breida I wrote last week.
